2012 Kia Picanto promo
Completely redesigned for 2012, the second generation Kia Picanto (aka Morning in S. Korea) has made its world debut at the 81st Geneva Motor Show. Displaying a lot more character, the Picanto drops the cute Pokemon look of the first generation for a bolder design. The Picanto features an aggressive front bumper, sweptback headlights, flame surfaced doors, side skirts, unique taillights and a roof spoiler. Add in aggressive design lines and sporty alloy wheels and the Picanto is transformed into a serious contender in the sub-compact city car segment. The new generation Picanto will be offered as a five-door globally while a sportier three-door body style will eventually be available in Europe. When lauched towards the end of 2011, four "super-efficient" engines will be available. These engines include a 1.0-liter three-cylinder, available in petrol, flex fuel and bi-fuel versions, as well as a 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol. Outputs will range from 69 (51 kW / 69 hp) to 85 PS (63 kW / 84 hp), while torque numbers vary from 94 (69 lb-ft) to 121 Nm (89 lb-ft). More specifically, the 1.0-liter bi-fuel engine produces 82 PS (60 kW / 81 hp) and 94 Nm (69 lb-ft) of torque. A five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic is available for all engines. CO2 emissions range from 95 to 105 g/km or 90 and 100 g/km with the optional engine start/stop system.
