This video shows the sudden attack of the police on the protesters and the violence on a sidewalk next to a cafeteria, where parents with minor children were sitting at.
This violent attack expanded inside the cafeteria, in front of frightened customers who until then had been drinking their coffee carelessly (the implementation of measures such as the "padlock" in the restaurant were implemented six days later).
The cases of police brutality have increased significantly lately in Greece. Complaints received by the Ombudsman’s office for incidents of police violence have increased by 75%.
