Wheelchair user Adnan Almousa Alfermli (SYR) pulled himself up 10 times in 60 seconds in Tenerife, Spain, on 23 Nov 2023.
Not content with one GWR title, the following day Adnan achieved the heaviest single repetition weighted pull-up in a wheelchair – 32.6 kg (71 lb 12 oz) – by lifting his chair and a set of weights.
His sights are now set on qualifying for the Paralympics as a handcyclist, while also fundraising for children who, like himself, became disabled while living in a war zone.
